SMALL CAP BOLTS
We recently reviewed a locker that the bolts had backed out of the small cap. This is the third time in the past four years that this has occured. We have determined that in all cases the problem was the result of improperly securing the bolts with loctite as discussed in the installation instructions. The instructions clearly state "APPLY HIGH STRENGTH LOCTITE (RED) TO BOLTS". Failure to follow this step or failure to insure the bolt threads are clean can result in the bolts backing out. As an additional safety measure beginning in September 2009 we will begin to ship lockers with bolts that have drilled heads for the small cap. A piece of .032 stainless steel safety wire will be included in the kits along with instructions on how to safety wire the bolts. This is an old practice used in the aviation industry and it insures an absolutely secured bolt. We would encourage the installer to use BOTH the loctite and the safety wire method for securing the bolts.

ELECTRONIC SHIFTER OPTION
A few months ago we introduced the air shifter option for the OX locker. Now we have the electronic shifter option as well. This provides the OX locker user an opportunity to decide how he wants to shift the locker. Many of our loyal customers continue to like the manual direct link shifting configuration but we have had many requests for other options and now they are available. The great news is that both the air shifter and the electronic shifter will retrofit to all OX locker configurations.
